These trips usually involve high-end luxury travel along with an assortment of complex needs and circumstances. As a complement to their services, Indagare employs several travel writers who travel around the world and publish a quarterly travel magazine for the benefit of their clientele.

Situation Analysis

We were asked to help design and build a website which would help them house and manage the large amount of travel reports, reviews, and photography they have accumulated over the years. At the same time, we were asked to integrate the site to Indagare’s current CRM as well as to a white-label booking engine.

SHR Approach

The primary objective was to collaborate with Indagare designers to design and implement a fully responsive travel content and booking portal. A second objective was to use a popular, open-source CMS to help Indagare staff more easily manage and publish the large amounts of travel content they produce each quarter. A third objective was to develop an application integrated with both the site and their existing CRM which enables clients to purchase, upgrade or renew their membership subscriptions and manage their online account information. A final objective was to integrate the site with a 3rd party booking engine so as to increase online conversion. These objectives are intended to support and dovetail into the myriad of managed travel services that Indagare offers.

We collaborated with the Indagare team to define objectives and develop visual design sketches for all the screens of the site, booking engine and user account information. We developed HTML prototypes for all representative website screens. Once approved, we collaborated with the Indagare team to customize the content management user interfaces to their specifications and desired workflow. Once implemented into the CMS, the Indagare team then populated the site with text and photo content. We also collaborated with CRM and booking engine developers to come up with the integrations needed to support online subscriptions and bookings.


All objectives were accomplished. Indagare is happy with their new responsive site and portal. They can easily populate the site with new content and the site allows for online subscriptions and bookings that are integrated with their CRM.
