The special board, made up of twelve strategically diverse hotel business clients from around the globe, ranges from franchise, extended-stay, and hotel management companies, to luxury resort casinos and independents. Its purpose is to provide SHR a better understanding of the products and services hoteliers want and need, and to help assure that the company continues to include hoteliers in the hospitality technology conversation.
“SHR doesn’t want to just innovate for innovation’s sake, in a vacuum,” said Rod Jimenez, CEO and Co-Founder of SHR. “We want to have a very intentional approach to feedback.” The company first tested the client board idea back in 2017 during their well-received Innovation Summit. There, SHR leadership and hoteliers discussed the biggest pain points in hospitality technology, and how they might best be remedied.
“Hoteliers’ needs have always shaped the SHR development roadmap,” Jimenez added. “This new board will allow all of us to continue the discussion in a more focused and intricate way, which includes the current SHR product roadmap, trends that we see forming, and the truly new vision we’re embarking on. The Product Advisory Board will be actively contributing to SHR’s vision and road maps throughout 2019.
