HOUSTON, TX, April 17, 2019—SHR, Sceptre Hospitality Resources, a pioneer of advanced hotel distribution technologies, has unveiled five new features within their Windsurfer® CRS and Windsurfer® CRO Voice products.
For the Windsurfer CRS, there are two new enhancements. The first, Ignore PMS Rate Update, will allow configuration changes to existing setups, which prevents rates from updating via the interface by rate code. This feature will be useful for those who expect to continue to send restrictions or other PMS event types, but who do not want rates to be managed via the interface. The second, Allow Zero Rate, introduces the ability to support the entry of zero value rates in conjunction with comp rate offerings. This enhancement will allow users to enable and define specific offers, which may be presented to eligible loyalty members as free room nights.
For the Windsurfer CRO Voice, there are three new developments. First, Room to Charge will allow SHR users to take special care of their guests, providing room upgrades without an increase in rate. Second, User Access Roles allows clients to create and assign roles specific to override mode capabilities to CRO agents. This opens the ability to continue to add more options to the Role settings moving forward.
The third feature, Share With functionality, will allow users to combine guest stays, providing options to share cost or determine how charges for each guest will be applied on days in which the share takes place.
